Junior Coaching Day

The latest U11 Coaching Day took place on Saturday 22nd June, at the Highfield Priory School in Preston. Attended by 40+ enthusiastic children, who all had an enjoyable day with a series of coaching sessions and match play games.

Our first event since Covid lockdown caused major disruptions to organised chess events in Lancashire.

This is just the beginning of many exciting events planned for the upcoming year, with the goal of entering U9 and U11 teams into the ESPSCA events once again. Thanks to the fantastic new team we are building, along with the unwavering support of parents and guardians, and the enthusiasm of our eager and energetic young chess players, we are confident that Lancashire Junior Chess will firmly reclaim its place on the map.

Special thanks to Highfield Priory School for making the venue available and their support of Junior Chess in Lancashire.

Last but not least, special thanks all the junior players for coming along and playing your best chess. Special congratulations to our winners on the day – Eyad, Raj, Sofia and Rory!
